Cupcakes can never go out of ‘food fashion’. The cupcake is the queen of handheld baked goods. I love the endless possibilities of flavours and decorations. I love their petite stature and how they look so beautiful in rows all prettily decorated. Even the simplest of decorations stands with glory.
Of course, for birthdays and other celebrations, I like to offer nice big cakes. But, there’s something about a box of hand decorated cupcakes that offers more than just the cake, it’s a real gift. A gift I love to give.
These dear cupcakes were for my best friend, Jess’s last birthday.
They are simply chocolate orange cupcakes topped with vanilla ‘buttercream’ and decorated with fondant roses and Wilton sugar sheets and edible glitter.
